As Tia Sherry and Tia Amy chat it up about the good old days.... ummmm.... or something.... Evie develops quite an attachment to Grandpa Steve.

Kids are fun!

So, Bailey sustained an injury to a leg over the Thanksgiving weekend and had to wear this cone to prevent him from eating/removing his dressing. Claire (and Daddy) thought it would be funny to "match" Bailey. It was also a great tactic to delay the bedtime routine with a little pre-sleep giggling with lots of smiles. The end result is this photo.

Claire Turned 3

It's a bit overdue, but here is Claire demonstrating her singing talent. It sounds like she sings just as well as her parents :) Claire and Genevieve had a great time opening presents, sharing new toys, and playing with boxes and wrapping paper.

Fun at the fair!

We took advantage of a rare day together as a family and headed out to the Texas State Fair. We all had a blast. Claire was just tall enough to try out some of the rides. She loved spinning fast in this one as long as she could hold on to me.







After this ride we kept hearing about how Claire and mommy flew together in the green airplane.







Evie hung out, watched people go by, and shared many conversations with us. She's such a good kid.







We ate, we walked, we watched dancers and meandered through exhibits. Overall it was a great family day.

School is off to a great start. I did well on my first two exams and, looking at the next couple of months, have a few major papers to complete. It's nice to see the hard work paying off.

This picture was taken at Claire's school, Children's Courtyard. She's a true Texas girl now :)

Here I sit for hours on end. Sometimes typing away, sometimes trying to process new information as time passes by.

Do I study nursing's metaparadigm, the grand theorists and their views about the metaparadigm while working on my concept paper and developing a formalized writing of my personal framework?

Do I study the cytochrome P450 system, the tricarboxylic cycle (aka Kreb's cycle), the electron transport chain, and the chemical composition of all parts of a cell and what happens on a molecular level when you ingest that steak, potato, and veggie meal?

Do I start working on my research critique which will in fact be about four times longer than the research publication was originally?

It's late. I'm tired. I'm headed for bed so I'm well rested for the important stuff. Tomorrow (wednesdays) I'm home with the girls until class starts at 1700 :)

Today has been a little frustrating. Evie is really developing some attachment issues which are great when you need some loving, but hard when you want to sit without a toddler crawling all over you. With daycare/preschool starting next week for both of these two, I'm sure we'll see more behavior changes.
